Innovative Use of Perspective and Visual Analysis for Background Checks

Perspective Background ChecksDuring ASIS 2012, one of our clients stopped by the booth and shared an innovative way they are putting Perspective to great use!

The client’s Security team works with Human Resources and a background check company to track the background checks of their employees, contractors and volunteers. Each time a background check is submitted and is assessed by the background check company, it is also entered in Perspective as an Incident Report.

The person that is being assessed is entered as a linked person in Perspective, with a check done on whether they have been involved in an incident before. This allows the Security team to see if a previous history exists, or if that person has links to other organizations or persons that they should be aware of. This is easily done using Visual Analysis, which graphically shows any existing links to the person, eliminating the Security Team’s need to double-check different records elsewhere.

Visual Analysis Check

We’re always excited to see Perspective used in new and interesting ways! By using Perspective and Visual Analysis together, a background check becomes one more important piece of data you can use to build a history on any person your organization is involved with.

Bring the power of incident visualization to your organization, including dynamic charting that expands with a click, with Perspective Visual Analysis, one of Perspective’s feature-rich add-on modules.
