We’re hiring. We’re hiring a lot. This is a great thing!
I started with PPM in August, 2013, as a Senior Account Manager and since then, there have been a lot of changes. In fact, my role has changed twice. I moved to the Marketing team in April of last year as our Content Marketing Specialist, and most recently became the Marketing Communications Manager. This is one of the things I love about PPM—the ability to move up, change roles, and grow with the company.
We were acquired in December and since then, we’ve been in a flurry of change. We have a new CEO, new structure, new vision, new technology, new metrics, and new passion. It’s almost like our team has been reborn. We’ve always collaborated with each other, but now there’s more of a push to get things accomplished and to make sure that what we are doing is working. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the PPM team.
Are there negatives associated to this much change? For sure—we have to make faster decisions and take calculated risks. In fact, when Will (our new CEO) introduced himself to the team, he said that it’s okay for us to make mistakes—as long as we learn from them. “We can win better by learning from failing. Find ways to fail small and succeed big.” This is something that has really stuck with me (and the rest of the PPM team, I’m sure), and it’s inspiring a lot of change from within.
An ideal PPM team member:
- Has the need to create and support the best possible solutions for our clients.
- Wants to see PPM succeed in a big, huge way.
- Has the drive to do things better and to continuously improve.
- Has the ability to work under tight deadlines with a smile.
- Isn’t afraid to think outside of the box or voice their opinion.
- Wants to work in an environment of real transparency. From the top down, we’re open on what we’re working on and the goals associated with it. We share our knowledge. We share our wins and losses.
- Hates being bored.
- Can appreciate a casual environment with perks like: great coffee, a foosball table, relaxed dress code (jeans are totally okay), good benefits, monthly treat days, and lots of Social Committee fun!
At the end of the day, we’re growing fast. No one was laid off due to the acquisition, and our eagerness to hire a lot of people right away is based on having enough staff to accomplish all the big and wonderful things we want to do. If you want to work with a team that does things the right way, send us your resume!
